ecu clicking?

sometimes.. we'll be drivng and all of the sudden the rpms drop the check engine light goes on and the ecu(i think) starts to make a clicking nosie a bunch of times.. could this mean time for new caps?

^ Yes ^ - but check your Power Steering Pump for leaks onto your Alternator too - The P/S Fluid kills the Voltage Regulator in the Alternator & freaks out the ECU Power Relay (that's whats clicking).
