my exhaust is making backfire-like noises during full-throttle in 2nd & 3rd gear. theres about 5 rapid pops during 6k-7k. theres also a good size black smoke cloud that shoots out...

my exhaust is full 3", straight pipe, 12" resonator, and 3"straight through exhaust.

help me out. whats going on?

am i running pig rich?
just wondering how bad this problem is...

thanks

Check your lower intercooler pipe connection. make sure its on all the way.. might be sucking in more air which would lead to unwanted fuel causing the black smoke. Also check your exhaust manifold and make sure all your studs and bolts are tight.

Which o2 sensor? in the o2hosuing? or after the cat?
also to did you replace it with stock o2 sensor? (is there aftermarket ones)

I had the same problem try changing your plugs and o2 sensor that did it for me :thumb:

bro its the o2 sensor before the car (in the o2 housing right after the exhaust manifold) I bought an o2 sensor from napa, just call around to a couple auto parts stores and see who has it the cheapest replace your plugs too they are going to be toast if your o2 sensor is bad!

Thanks :thumb: I'll do that!
