Possible TPS going bad?

I'm not venting and I drive a 95 2g GST.

Whenever I am driving, depending on how hard I push my car at WOT, whenever I put it in neutral it will idle at 1,200 rpm- 3,000 rpm. but when it does that, if I hit the gas once, sometimes twice, the idle will go back down to 1,000 sometimes 800. any ideas?

It could be your TPS. One other thing I would check before you go replacing that would be the o-ring inside your BISS screw. Replace it first seeing as the o-ring ( size is #5) is alot cheaper than a TPS.

I replaced those two dry rotted o-rings that are on that metal piece with the butterfly in the throttle body several months ago. how much do you suppose a new tps is? and i cant remember but do I have to take off my tb to replace the tps?

no it mounts on the side faceing the front of the car. I think it has a 3 wire plug going into it

Try replacing the o-ring in the BISS screw before going out and spending an arm and a leg on a TPS. An o-ring (they come in packets) will cost you less than $2.00.
