My brakes, well brake, is horrible...starting today for no reason it started making this "shwi-shwi-shwi" sound when im driving and as im stopping under 10mph it goes to a " grrrrrrsshhhhgggrrr"(hard to explain) well it sounds HORRIBLE, so i get out to check and in my rear driver side rotor there is a GROVE carved out, so something is CARVING a grove in my rotor. I got home at 11:00 and have to go to bed, so i have no time to pull the tire and caliper off to check, so my dad is taking it to a brakes guy tomorrow(he gives the guy free donuts, so hopefully the guy will look at it for free) and i guess ill find out then..

Any ideas though?

Yeah, once you use up the pad material and get down to steel grinding on cast iron, it doesn't brake so well.

Uh.... when _was_ the last time you inspected your pads for thickness?

Thought so.

the guy who i bought it from replaced them last summer, both of the parts....first time ince he had botton the car :thumb:
