Ok well here it gies
its a weird list so work with me

Im blowin black smoke.....so its runnin rich prolly
I have an SAfc 2 and at idle its at 500 rpm
but the fgactory tach is at 700

im occuring lag at 1300-1700 ont he safc
and on the tach its from 1700-2000

and when im drvign at 2000 rpm on the safc2
the tach says 3200

any reason why the tach would be off

also any reason im lagging...ts like stuttering but right before 3000 it pulls normal...no problems after that

a;lso the factory boost guage isnt registering but the aftermarket one is

any help would be appreciated
 
check the chanel on your super afc to make sure it is on the right one it might have been changed by acident. If that is not it then you can reset it your self in the settings. I think it asks you to hold it at like 3krpm while it sets.
 
I don't have a SAFC yet, but a friend of mine got his not to long ago (afew weeks) and he had the same problem once he would run up on about 3K RPM... it was some kind of mode that the SAFC was set on, maybe someone messed with yours when you wasn't looking? I don't know. If afew adjustments, his car would stop doing the studder, and would run fine. But from what your saying, sounds like its the same problem. I'll see if I can find him around, and ask him what hes playing with on his controller. Later
 
i don't have the book on me but if i remember right i think it should be on chanel 2 and the little arrow thing should be going up and to the right. You might want to do a search as i am not to sure its been so long since i had to set mine, but it seems like that is the problem if not as i said in the setting you can set rpm and reprogram it so its correct.
 
would make sense to me. Someone mess with it while your back was turn'd? Don't they come with some kinda lock or something?
 
go into the etc menu and set the password i think its 4 numbers you can set...go to apexi's website for instructions in pdf form...you need adobe acrobat reader available from apexi's site as well.
 
whitetsi might be right, like I said I don't owe one yet. But while attempting to hook up a shift light (not a tach, was racing someone once, to busy watching the road, didn't know I was sitting in the 8ks.. I shift at 6.5 ... not worth pushing it really to me.) to let me know when I'm sitting at 6.5KRPMs ... I tried to dip right into the discap like always.. you get faced with 3 wires, 1 ground, and the other 2 are blue, I think with a brown stripe, and white...? tach one or the other and you read like your a V8... tach both and it doesn't work. So it would make sense to me on what hes saying IF its already set to 4 cylinders. (To get the tach wired, I had to tap the plugin between the intake manifold, and the valve cover, large plug, 7 wires, the white on in the middle was the tach for me.) ... more 2 cents in the bucket for ya' ;D
