2g gsx trans needed badly

I have one out of a 96 gsx 5 speed with the right transfer case. I think it has about 66k miles. When I got it I took it apart and went through it to make sure everything looked good. It checked out ok, but since I had it apart I replaced the shim washers in the center diff just in case. Got it in my car and found out that 3rd gear grinds a little at higher rpms. So I pulled it out and was going to pull it apart again to replace synchro in 3rd but came across an EVO3 so I ended up using that. I kept the 2g as a spare just in case. I might consider selling it for the right price, I got a 3rd gear synchro sitting here waiting to be put it. Email me if you're interested, I'm in tri-cities WA

You can also check on www.car-part.com that searches most of the wrecking yards in the USA

You can use 95-96 tranny in your car if you use the transfer case that goes with it. That's how I'm using an EVO3 tranny in my 97 gsx. Sometimes its cheaper to buy a tranny from east coast and have it shipped then to find one at a local wrecking yard. I had to do that few times with other cars and trucks.
