Not sure what the plan is yet.-Need the entire short block disassembled / cleaned and reassembled with all new gaskets / seals etc, new crank, probably a new block.
-Need the head disassembled / cleaned etc.
-Need the turbo rebuilt

Wowsers! How did they manage that one! Well at least we know they are getting the rebuild cost now. Sucks as you rely on these builders to be great at their jobs

Wow it's been over three years since I posted anything. Mainly because COVID made recovery of the car a royal pain in the ass. Long and short of things is:
- 2021 spent waiting on the race fab shop to get the new aero stuff on. That didn't go...
We didn't really reach a conclusion. I'm thinking I'm going to take the engine to MAPerformance and just have them go through it. Hopefully they can provide some closure on what actually went wrong.
Well, she finally has a heart! Got everything hung this past Sunday and went without anything crazy happening. Going to get the fuel system finished up in my weekend and then hopefully start wiring next!

Pulled the pan, pretty unfortunate. Clearly blew through the thrust surface of the bearing, then continued to absolutely torch the bearing until it spun, then seized the crank.Open to ideas as to what could have caused this in 3 miles of...
