Methanol in the Area?

Im in SF and wonder where can I get methanol. So far I found Gotelli's or ERC. Any other places?

I think that's pretty much it. I hear ERC is the cheapest. You gotta bring your own bottle.

you can purchase a tank from ERC.

I would suggest if you get the metal 5 gallon container to get a screw in spout. It WILL save you some spills!!!

My co-workers who run meth buy 5-gal at a time from ERC and only go once every few months.

There has got to be a motorcycle shop around you djmixerx. Bost of the dirtbike shops stock c16, c12 and meth. If they don't, ask them if they could start carrying it. Otherwise, special order it every few months. It used to be $36 for a 5 gallon tank. As soon as gas prices shot it, the meth price almost doubled. Bah,it was just another reason to go E85

You can run paint thinner too, it's got a really high concentration of methanol. (Killa_DSM told me this and runs paint thinner himself last I heard.)

Yeah I run Denatured Alcohol from Homedepot. It doesnt have methanol in it, its alcohol. So its not any kind of paint thinner, it has to be denatured alcohol.

At gotelli's its 39 i think. I was just seeing what were my options. I think SF has pretty restricted laws on caring those gases in stores.

I read something about denatured alcohol but isnt pretty grip. Wouldnt u rather just run meth?

If you find a place in SF that carries it I would definitely like to know. I knew about ERC but didnt want to drive all the way out to the East Bay to get it. And a $20 gallon of Denatured Alcohol isnt that bad if you come from buying all those little Heat bottles like I use to.

Oh i see, I always heard that you had to take your own jugs.

I could be wrong but everytime I go there I see c16 and 100+ octane there in 5 gallon metal cans. Meth could be different im not sure. I didnt ask how would I pick it up. Either way I got a plastic jug for gas neways.
