one of my last upgrades that i'm going to do is a direct port injection kit for my 420a eclipse. by the time i get done it'll have either an evoIII 16g or a 20g turbo on it w/ fully upgraded engine components (pistons, rods etc etc). what setup should i put on it. nitrous i'm in the black in. i know nothing about it really, besides hittin the button and sayin byebye. so any help is very much appreciated.

I would start by reading many of the posts in this forum then. There is a welth of information in side here just start by reading threads one after the other and just keep reading until you can't read anymore, then read some more. By the time your at the end, 99% of your questions will be answered and the remainder will be easily answerable because you will know what your looking for more or less.

Honestly you will not need a direct port kit if your running a turbo, a single nossle wet kit will be better for a turbo application where you can't really spray that much anyway. The minimum shot on a direct port kit is 80hp which will give you about 150whp gain which is a lot. A single nossle kit you can run as low as a 35hp shot.

what if i built my engine to take the 150whp? i mean would it just spin my tires when i hit the juice, or would it be just truly beneficial to get a wet jet kit?

I don't know what you mean when you say a wet jet kit. A jet is the little brass piece you put in the nossle that controls the flow. This is what I'm talking about. Get familiar with nitrous first before you make any decisions on what your going to do.

To start you will NEVER run nitrous on the street or on pump gas ever. It will be strictly for the track when your on slicks and race gas. Unless you run really low boost you simply can not spray on pump gas with a turbo. You need to plan on getting your transmission rebuilt with a Quaife and some drive shaft shop axels first before you think about a 150whp shot of nitrous ontop of turbo cause your gonna tear your trans and axels appart with that right off the bat.

TO get into that territory you will need the following items.

Turbo kit $3000-4000
Built motor $5000 with everything or more if you can't do the swap yourself
Trans and axels $3000

Right there your over 10,000 bux. Do that first then come talk about nitrous because your quite a way away from even having to consider it.

For now if you want nitrous on your stock motor you can do a single nossle wet kit from NX with a 50-75hp shot with no problems.

are you sure he needs the tranny rebuild? cuz the 2gnt trannies are pretty strong, can support up to around 500hp

500whp with an open diff? 24.5" slicks and a hard hit like nitrous will tear the trans appart long before 500hp I'll tell you that. Strong or not strong, that type of instant power will snap the diff like a twig.

well everything ive seen says that the tranny can hold 500hp but im sure your right.

My friend have built motor and shoot 85hp with a direct port system. He run 24.5 slick, best time all motor is 12.58 and 11.78 at 123mph with nitrous, btw, this is a Neon.
