Who's running/ not running heat shields?

I know what they're there for, but obviously the big turbo guy's don't have them b/c of the manifolds... anyways... Do you have them on your car? Also, would I hurt anything by taking them off?

When i installed my EVO III mannifold i took off both shields, and havent putten them on yet. i see no signs of melting fans or anything, plus it looks better i think.

the manifold gets really hot raising underhood air temps considerably. Guess what else is under the hood fairly close i might add, the intake filter. hot air in equals less power out, leave them on and have the jet hott coated.
