is there anything else I can do or check? I'm pretty upset. The passenger CV cup has a special clip that is really hard to get out once inside the trans, and I did manage to get to the seal and replace it, I thought it made since because the old seal looked dry rotted.

I know the seal is one way, so no question. It only has a small few drips after a long drive.

I'm having the same problem, except I replaced that seal 3
Times.. First one I lubed the outside of seal which is where it seals so u want to put it in dry and clean and smooth. Then when I pulled the seal again I damaged the sealing surface and tried filing it smooth. I'm going to put some rtv on outside of seal next time. Also i might to pushing seal to far in so its not sealing when the axle is in. Getting really pissed. Hope u have better luck.

same thing was happening to me replaced the seal twice and the same, it would only leak when the car was moving I ended up exchanging my axle from autozone and problem solve, I guess that axle was worn out, it could also be that you are putting the seal too far in the tranny I kind of leave it sticking out like 1/16 of an inch instead of being flush with the tranny I asked a lot of people and nobody had an answer

Ya I thought about the axle but it didn't look scored. I put seal in too far so I need to get a new seal in the proper depth then ill try a spare axle I got. What works best for pushing in new seal? I'm using seal driver kit and a small extension to tap it in but goes in too far very easily.

Never would've occurred to me that the seal could be in to far. I know that i also used an extension to tap it in as far as it could be. Not sure if that made it flush or not but it looked right and was installed dry just like the oil pump seals ive read about.

This is also a rebuilt transmission and all new front axles. I'm also thinking about redoing the edge of the seal with jb weld or rtv.
