I am a locksmith and as far as I know the only thing that the dealers stock now is a metal headed ilco blank. I had my shop order me some of the blanks that are listed in the post before mine and they and nice enough...at least they don't say ILCO all huge like most of their plastic headed keys.

Also on a sidenote any good locksmith should be able to originate you a new key instead of copying the old one, they work wonders over copies.

I tried the Jeep... sorry, Eagle dealer when I got my first DSM, and they brought out a metal-headed Ilco. Peee-uke. Of course it didn't fit. My next stop was a real locksmith's who had the acumen to adjust for five years of wear to key and pins, and his cut fit like... well, like a key in a lock. I'll not try to get a car key from anyone else again- and he had the plastic-head Ilco in stock- Charley's 24-Hour in Stockton.

I keep loosing my key because its just a generic hardware store copy but if i go to SATAN can i get a key with the mitsu logo on so i can distinguish my key from the several hundred in my house?

wait a minute that doesnt make sense, how can you go on e-bay and order a key for your car? cut and everything, wouldnt that mean thieves could go to e-bay then jack your car???

LOL. thats funny.

Anyone have those wannabe butterfly knife keys? LOL those things are kinda cool.

Anyone have a link to a website that sells custom and or oem versions of the eclipse key blank?

bent mine today and dont really like the cheap silver key i had to get remade today at the hardware store :(

eBay has them, and most good-sized independant lock shops will have the same blank. It's the Ilco MIT4-P.

Most dealers can't cut a key worth a crap, while locksmiths understand worn pins and will compensate for it.

Then there's the cool Bali-Hi butterfly key, but I'm not going the $20 for one.
