I am in the process of installing a 16g and I have come across one minor problem. I am trying to put my 90 degree fitting in the oil filter housing and the oil light sender (I think that is what it is) is in the way. I looked and it seems not to be the average bolt type. Do I need a special tool to take it out so I can get the oil feed fitting into the housing? Picture taken from RRE to show what I am talking about

Also one more question. Should I put teflon tape on the oil feed fitting?

If its the send right about the 90 fitting. It should just use a socket to pull out. I actually just unscrewed the prong on it. If you look you can see the scrw in the picture. I used telfon tape just to make sure it sealed.

Me I just finished a 16g install also and had the same problem.. I removed the oil light sender (or whatever it is) and then installed the 90 fitting.. then put the sender back in and then attached the stainless feed line to the fitting..I did not use teflon tape on the fitting and it seems to hold the pressure but time will tell when I check again... I'm thinking they use pipe threads on the fitting so that as you screw it in the threads lock together tight.. maybe someone else will give you better advice

Ok I managed to get the fitting with some Teflon tape in the housing. Now I have another simple question. The fitting only threaded in I'd say a full turn and a half maybe and then stopped (this is with hand tightening) Do I need to tighten it some more as a good amount of the fitting threads are still exposed. Or is it good as it is?
