throw out bearing wearing into the pressure plate?

i just pulled my tranny out because i could not get the car into first gear without taking off in 2nd, then jamming it into first. if id slow up to a 1st idle roll, it would just pop out of 1st. once tranny is out, i looked at the perssure plate and all the "fins" are worn so thin and bent inward towards the block.
so i realize that this is what was making the car not going into first, but from keep grinding it to get it into 1st, do u think i can still use the tranny? or do u think i killed the syncro's?

Well since its apart take it and have it rebuilt, its just that added piece of mind thats thats done. Then replace everything in there. Then adjust the clutch.

have the trans inspected by a shop, just to see. and replace the clutch.

no it did not break. everything looks normal except the way the tob literally ate into the p.p

that is odd, i asked because if the clips broke, it would hold the tob at an angle, which would do that to the Pressure plate, like if one of the hooks on the clip broke short, and wasnt in the fork completely.

nah, it was in properly. actually, it is the original clutch kit i believe.with 128,000 on the clock

The pressure plate is obviously junk. A new clutch kit is in order.

The synchros issue MAY fix itself with a new clutch. My FWD was having shifting issues that were all the result of a bad clutch. It, too, had 128k on it.
