well if you filled it with that much oil you are going to have a nice coat of oil in your exhuast which will take some time to burn off..

so that exsplains my tale of white smoke for like 100 yards

but the oil all over the engine compartament
n high pressure

White smoke in these cars usually means blown turbo. Im a noob too, but when my friends turbo blew it left clouds of white smoke revving at idle.

White smoke is coolant, so maybe blown head gasket or turbo.

Could just be oil burning off, drive it for a while and see if it calms down. If your blowing out your dipstick tube, change your pcv valve. If the smoke continues after a couple of weeks. Go to VFAQ.com there is a whole list of colors of smoke and such..So just wait it out for a while and see..But as MYTALONTSI said it could be your turbo..But wait 1st...

+1 on the PCV Valve

Or you could have my scenario, 2 new turbos later and you find out your piston rings only seal under light engine load(like cruise) then go to boost and cheech and chong behind you.

Motorcycles hate my car

Get new rings that are tighter under more heat...

+1 on the PCV Valve

Plus what's a pcv valve cost $12 tops. Start with the cheapest part 1st..

tomarrow morning im going to give my car a oil change to even out the oil to what it should be

but i remember
i didnt have this problem when i was venting my BOV

Did you drain the oil yet? What did it look like?

Nothing I'm going to say hasn't been said already.

1. Drain oil, check for coolant. Refill to proper level.
2. BLT.
3. Compression test.
4. Check coolant for oil.

Stop worrying about recirculation. It's not going to make your car smoke.

But there was no coolant in your oil, or metal shaving perhapps? Do a coolant flush, cause you said it was brown, and winter is coming up so I want you to be protected against the elements...

That's good there is no coolant in the oil. However the dark color of your coolant might signify its mixing with oil. Definitely do a coolant flush, and watch the color and/or consumption of your coolant to see if it turns brown.

Depending where he is in california I bet he doesn't have much to worry about elements LOL , but if your coolant is brown I would say Hg.. Oil is getting in there turning it brown. coolant doesn't just turn brown from use, something got in it. Also explains the white smoke. Was your oil milky looking or clear or dark color? Just because your oil isn't milky doesn't mean your HG is good, especially if your coolant is brown.

Yeah bro do a compression test to check HG because oil in coolant is a no-no. I think its like 110psi and below is the HG. Try to get a good tester from a shop, ive noticed that generic testers don't give accurate readings. But you will still get low readings if its the HG. GL and let us know.

ok so right now my car is parked in the corner of my car lot awaiting its new head gasket and a compression check

so for a month im driving a mercury:cry:

Do the compression test first. I hear you on that one, no DSM for me till spring. Bring out the gas guzzler.

IM GONNA GO TO MY MECHANIC AND MAKE HIM DO IT FOR ME
LOL
