Hey everyone,
i've been lurking here for a few weeks while saving up some money.

so pretty soon i plan to buy a 2g gsx, hopefully 99..

anyways, i plan on getting it stock, or very lightly modified so it wasn't beat on.

then my question is, what should my upgrades be in what order?
i've read all the stickies etc.

sleeper is fine with me,
i like a nice turbo/loud BOV
and a nice sounding exhaust, not exactly high pitched rice, but nice sounding.

thanks everyone! :thumb:

any exhaust on the 4G63 sounds MEAN!!!!

but if you want a LOUD BOV vent it but it would make your car kinda stall and not idle right

and as for the car it just depends on who you get the car from

like i got my car from a cow field so i know it was a little beaten on but that doesnt matter to me

and as for the mods go Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners here

They are right, any exhaust sounds awesome on a 4G63, but if you have the funds to do so, the APEXi N1 system is one of the best out there. Just read up on the info thats on this site, theres alot of great stuff here. Just take your time and research everything before you do it so you wont wish that you didnt do it latter. Best of luck!

One more thing, a "nice loud BOV" is not very sleeper. You should find which BOV works best for YOU, not which one is the loudest. Just follow the upgrade path and you will be well on your way to a nice DSM. Whenever you get your car, post some pics and specs, as far as what has been done, mileage, etc.

While I agree that a "loud" BOV isn't very sleeper, it is pretty awesome to scare old ladies walking along the side of the street. :)! And if you do decide to vent your BOV to the atmosphere, thus creating the "loud" noise, you're going to want to get a GM MAFT so that you don't have any problems with idle and running lean or rich. I also vote on the a'pexi n1 exhaust, couldn't be more satisfied, now I run one on both my GST and my GSX. :)

Searching will be your best friend, and if you can search through here and not find the answer to what you're looking for, then you're doing something wrong! Even the people who've been up here for a long time still know that searching will usually yield the results they were looking for. Have fun and enjoy your GSX if you do find one. :) You should go for a 95 though, not having to deal with emissions is a good plus :p!

i deffinatly will.
but loud psst of a bov is what i've loved since my uncle gave me a ride in his old subaru when i was young.

thanks very much everyone
