i was just wondering this since i have never played with a nitrous set up? I know the difference between the systems. I have an AEM fuel rail on my 1G and i was wondering if you placed the fogger in the rail where the fuel pressure gauge is will it net the same results as a true "wet' kit? I have come across a dry kit from a friend and i was just wondering how it would work.

you can run wet nitrous off of test ports, I would take the shrader valve out to promote more flow. I would suggest also not running a huge amount of nitrous off that, as it will severely tax your fuel pump at high fuel demands. Dont expect to flow 250hp worth of fuel out of that test port either... I would say safely 150 would be a decent maximum.

I would be safe and put a 255LPH in if I was you, you dont want to be running lean with nitrous.

If you mean you are going to take your fuel supply for the solenoid from the port in the rail for the pressure gauge then yes, that will work for a wet kit. I don't know how much more "true" of a wet kit you can get. If you mean you are going to put the fogger or nozzle actually in the rail.......well no that will not work, at all. If you bought your friends dry kit you would need to buy another solenoid, line, compatable nozzle, etc. I don't know how much he is selling it to you for but a wet sniper kit, with everything you need, can be had for $300-350 new.

Yea, the OP was a bit confusing when asking that question, as I thought this at first too LOL. Spray INTO THE FUEL RAIL?? LOL.

Good luck with the nitrous, keep a VERY close eye on it with KR readers, and a WB gauge. If you dont have a WB, borrow one for a day!!

i do applogize for not being more clear. when i installed the fuel rail and the injectors a friend said that i should put nitrous on the car. he also said tht the port on the fuel rail was for nitrous or a fuel pressure gauge. he wanted me to put the fogger directly into the fuel rail. i was told that it would be the same as a wet kit. i didnt listin. so i just installed a pr gauge on the rail. he has been hounding me to buy to dry kit form him to put on the car.

The port on the fuel rail is for the fuel supply for the wet kit. If you value your engine runing do not go with a dry kit they are evil. If you plan on going the nitrous way buy a wet kit, but you will need a 255lph pump (rewired) 255hp is the best for nitrous and a fuel presure reg. It wouldnt hurt to up grade all the fuel lines also.

You don't want to spray the nitrouse into the fuel rail if that's what you're saying, that would be very bad. The extra port can have a line piped from it to feed a fuel solenoid and a set of fogger/nozzles for the fuel side of things, but you have to have the fuel line, solenoid, nozzles and jets to make a wet kit.
