i had just got done with my car yesterday and i was trying to start it and no start so i was using starting fluid and i was spraying it in my intake to get it started but then my car caught a fire then after we put it out thank god nothing was damaged but i am wondering why my intake caught fire

then we found that my injectors arent spraying i dont think i mean we hear them click on the start up and then we try to start it and no start????i mean it started with the starting fluid but do you think since i have no injector resistor that is the reason?????

yeek i would never use starting fluid, i go with carb cleaner as it has the same effect bust less likely to do damage.

as for your injectors not firing are they getting signal? are you sure you have fuel pressure? sounds like could be a bad pump to me

well about the pump i am not sure if that is it but i am sure my injectors are getting a signal and as for the starting fluid bad idea???? yes i think so but i was trying to get it started and i have to get it out of the yard people are complaining

i mean i here the pump the little whistle noise

okay i might change it i mean the gas coming out of it is nasty looking but i think it would still fire

Unbolt the cam sensor. Turn the ignition on and spin the piece on the cam sensor. You can feel each injector to see if it is firing. You will feel it click while your turning the cam sensor piece. If they don't click they are not firing.

Also, note which way the cam sensor went into the cam so you don't put it back in at 180* off.

no i did that i dont know what it is i am getting fire on all my plugs i just dont know what it is

How long has the injector resistor pack been off? Turbocharged DSM engines use low-impedance fuel injectors, which will consume too much energy from the computer system if not controller properly. The resistor pack limits the energy provided to the injectors to the correct level. Without the resistor pack, the injectors will burn out in short order.

so my injectors are messed up????

my car never came with one so what other cars came with one so i can get one???
