Hey so i was going over the parts on my car when i realized that this part is melted from touching the block, what is it so i can replace it. Thanks!

Hmm i thought the egr valve had a huge tube running too it. At least thats what i thought they did, on all the engines ive worked on they have a big rubber tube. Just to be sure this is the device that is bolted onto the intake mani and looks to work with the vacuum and boost somehow?? it has a wire coming off of it with a connector.
 
EGR valve. The tube you're probably used to seeing is cast into the intake manifold. The exhaust flows from the cylinder closest to the transmission, through the head, up to the IM, into that valve, and up to just after the throttle body.
