Found wire, need help finding its home.

Just purchased a 90 TSI AWD with issues, I started tonight in the engine bay to redo the previous owners wire mess when I stumbled upon a black wire with white stripe. The end has a crushed metal connector possibly slipped out of a harness. The wire comes out between the power transistor harness and the coil pack harness. The power transistor has 5 wires running to it and the coil pack has the 4. Im curious if anyone would know off hand where this mystery wire goes.

it could be the wire that goes to the A/C compressor

I completely forgot about that, the A/C was removed so its possible thats what it goes too.
