I just got the car runnin again today. I went and drove it around for about 20 min. when I came back I noticed I was gettin some blue smoke at idle. I shut the car off. An hour or so later I start it back up, no blue smoke. I did notice that my oil pressure gauge was peaked out. I then looked at my prosport oil pres gauge. It was reading around 70-80psi at idle? The sensor is new the gauge has been switched with a different one. It floats around a lot also. Anywhere from 35-40psi to 70-80psi at idle. I unplugged the stock pressure gauge and plugged it back in. It doesnt peg anymore. But the prosport gauge is still pegging out and it is hitting 100psi if I rev it to 2000 or above. I now only have blue smoke when I rev it idle? Can someone please tell me what I can check? Mods are in profile.

Thanks,
Anthony

I just did a compression test. I got 160 all the way across, so im guessing no headgasket problems or rings, for the smoke problem.

The high oil pressure is most likely due to the balance shafts being eliminated. You can port the oil filter housing to bring the pressure down.

yea i have been reading about that. I just dont get why everything was fine for 2200 miles and now all of the sudden the pressure spikes this morning?

why would it bounce around so much also. Like 60psi and then it jumps to 80psi at idle it'll do this.

The oil looks fine. I have no leaks except for a small one from the oil return line. I just dont get what would cause it to just start doing it this morning.
