I have a 95 eagle talon tsi w/ the 6 bolt engine in it that came from the 1G dsms. I was wondering when I bought upgrades for it or when buying parts that broke if I should buy parts for the 1G or for the 2G or are they universal? For example I am going to replace my slave and master cylinder because one of them went out and I am going to replace both. Should I buy them for the 1G or the 2G or are they all universal?

A more concise explanation is due. You do need to get one for a 2g, because you still have a 2g drivetrain. Engine parts will be for a 1g because of that swap. Electronics will be 2g, except for CAS.
And title should be edited.

i sencond this!
only the motor was swapped over, no body parts were changed, brake master cylinders and things like that are still for the 2g, engine parts, are for 1g. what ecu do you have?

cam angle sensor? this would have to be one for the 1g. if i bought a 1g complete engine to swap in the 2g, i would need flywheel and everything will mate up (splines on tranny with output on crank)? im sorry, i dont mean to hijack, but this is really hitting home if i bought a 2g and put a 1g motor in it.

would all of the sensors and what not on 1g work with the 2g ecu? its a socketed ecu that comes with the car...
