Just got done with my 95 gsx trying to crank it and got nothing after a while so i began the series of checks.spark was first and of course as i thought i was getting non.

I called a friend he said i would get no spark if my fuel relay was not in on the ecu so iw net and checked every thing was in but when i went to check ecu there was this little black box on top of the ecu with some ghetto rigged wires that obviously wasnt from factory.

I have 2 questions that are important to gtting the car started and hopefully i can find some help from someone.

1.What is this little black box for?
2. Any other dieas of why i may not be getting spark.

the ecu is located in the passenger side foot well. If you poke you head in on the center consoul from that side you can pull out the ecu is held in there by 2 screws i believe

not need to pull the ecu out all the wires are plugged in.any other ways to see why i cant get fire????

I would say crank angle sensor, are you not getting fuel also? If your not getting fuel or spark then it's an electrical/sensor issue most likely the crank angle sensor, if it's just spark then it narrows it down to something to do with the coil pack/wiring for it.

Please take come pictures of your wiring harness around the intake and crank and the vaccume hoses around the turbo and BOV. this car is a stock set up now so any links that may have pictures would be best for me.
