2nd gear lurch?

Hi guys, I have a completely stock 95 gsx with 84000 miles. I just bought this car and Ive had it for a few weeks. I had a question. In second gear I feel a small lurch or crawl (not sure what the proper term is) anyway it feels like a tiny fuel cut when I open up the throttle about 3/4 - full. It only seems to happen in 2nd gear. Every other gear is smooth. Any ideas what it might be?

Ive just changed the oil to Mobil 1 full synthetic 75k+

Also another small question. Sometimes when I start the car and put it in reverse it will grind and I have to force it in or start the car in reverse. I've just adjusted my throttle cable because my car was idling at like 2k rpms so I thought it would take care of it. It took care of the grind in first gear but not in reverse. It still grinds. Any idea why?

every time when you put into reverse, do you shift straight to reverse or do you shift to 1st then to reverse? sometimes, if you shift straight to reverse it may grind but if you shift over to 1st then reverse, it should not grind while shifting to reverse.

what do you mean 2nd gear lurch or crawl? are you saying it jumps, grinds, or stutters when your driving?

I always shift to 4th then to reverse to avoid that. When I first got mine I thought my trans was gone .

thanks for the help with reverse grinding. by the lurch i mean that it will feel like a small stutter when i gun it and the turbo starts spooling.
