does anyone have the jnz shortened shifter on their 2g? just wondeing what people think of it bc i was plannin on buying it

According to their site, their only for 1g's and GVR4's.

ok well then do you know of a good shifter that puts the knob rite on the boot and is just as short of a throw as the jnz shifter?

Thats a good question. I just got the Megan racing SS.... It may been 1/2 shorter it height... i can say that, teamed with the Symboski shift kit has added a nice feel...I just wish it were just alittle bit lower!

Check out the B&M or a knock-off version of it.

It won't locate the knob near the boot like on a 1G, but it will shorten the throw considerably.

My preference is:

B&M short shifter
Symborski shift kit
Speed source shifter cable bushing kit
OEM Heavy Leather Shift Knob - MR263906 (metal filled)

This setup doesn't really lower the shift knob much, but the shifting experience and feel is incredible.

^ My preference too. I have all those on my car and it's a great feeling!

And if you want the shift knob lower, you'll have to chop off part of the shifter and reweld it. I think most people usually cut out about an inch or so.
