Can I use any 4g63t engine parts in a dodge conquest?

I can pick up a 87 conquest with a perfect body just missing an engine for $400. I like the idea of RWD and wondered if I could use a 4g63 engine or at the least a 14b turbo on it. thanks.

I know that people have done it, but it's a bunch of work. Probably have more luck with a stock starion/quest motor and upgrading that.

Can't you use a 4g63 in it with the use of an adapter plate for the transmission? Believe so.

Just don't expect much from the drivetrain. It's pretty weak.

After reading that project zero post it seems it would be less work and less expensive to make the talon RWD.

If you mean simply removing the drive to the front wheels and leaving the engine transverse, then you're absolutely correct. But to build a proper RWD setup, it would be easier to use the Conquest.

I had a 88 Quest. www.starquestclub.com (currently down) would be your best friend. Personally, I love the stock motor. It can handle a beating but the above poster is right, be careful about the tranny. Besides my GSX, it was my favorite car to drive. Love the stock LSD + RWD + Turbo = SEX.
