If anyone that is in Alaska , well Anchorage know of a good place to take a dsm?...
I'm about to sell my 420a for a 97 GSt with no head on it ( not sure if it runs)
But basically I want to know a good place to get a used engine installed?...
Any help would be great... Also a good place to order a motor from?... would be nice I'm trying to stay away from JDM cyclone engines.

well I just moved down here and I don't know too many places but I do some people who work in the mechanics field and I can ask them and see if there is anyone in town that the could recommend.

Oh and are you still trying to get a group together up here for dsm's?

Yea I would like to get some people together so we can all ride together on friday and saturday nights, So far its just me and my freind with a 420a talon, but another good friend of mine is about to buy a 93 gsx. I try and ride northernlights every weekend, but their is just too many STI's LOL..... I wanna see more DSM's!
Let me know when you find out about some shops around here, I've been asking everybody I know and no one seems to have a good answer. All I know is to not take it to F.A.T.S. I learned that the hard way, by spending 1200 dollars to put a clutch in, and they broke my speedo sensor and my car leaks oil now!

Your best bet is Underground Performance on 5th Ave. Stay away from One Stop on Post Road they trashed the motor in my 4.0L SOHC Explorer! On a Balance shaft belt replacement. There is also a Guy on Dowling right across from the Mexican restaurant. I went by there and talked to him about DSM's and he's worked on few mostly stock though! Guy seems cool and knowledgeable but he also knew the guys at the other shop that messed up my truck so just don't let him send you there!! Ask around on Alaska motor sports in the DSM section and someone there might be able to help you.

On another note AlaskanDSM hows the battle on boost creep coming along?

Oh I figured out my boost creeping issues. And now I am working on boost leak issues and I found a big leak and now I can hold boost a lot better. but I am still having some idle issues. Things are slowly getting worked out. Well I am moving out of state soon but I could probably get together soon. And I know what you ean about these STI's I have one that lives on the same street as me... *sigh* he ALWAYS has to drive by or leave when I am working on my car... I can just see the smirks he would be making.
