Hey guys and gals, ok I am losing my head over this.. I cant sleep at night :( Ok I have a Real Big 16g.. It has roughly 200 miles on it and I have it sitting because I am waiting on my tubular manifold in the mail :p So last night I felt curious and starting looking at it because... its cool looking i guess ha ha.. I noticed it is leaking oil and travels down to the hot side of the turbo (check out pics).. HAS THIS THING GONE BAD ON ME ALREADY OR IS THIS NORMAL.. Its sitting on where the o2 housing bolts upand I thought its just oil traveling down but I am not sure.. Please help this is killing me  Check out the pictures!! I have A/N lines and the turbo has absolutely no shaft play at all.. I have checked the forums but no one has pictures or describe what my problem is.. It only leaks from my exhaust side.. They say it might be a the seals but I just bought this and has never been bolted up.. Please help:confused:

Thanks

Hard to tell for sure, but that sure is alot of oil for a new turbo. Id say contact the guy you bought it from, and ask him if maybe he put some oil on it or somethin to stop corrosion. thats my only guess other than the seals

I've been thinking about this thread, and i thought that if that turbo had that much oil leaking past the seals when the last person ran it, it would not be that clean on the inside. I think it would be kinda sootie if you know what i mean. If the last person that had it removed there balance shafts, and was experiencing high oil pressure that will take the seals right out of a new turbo

Sorry to say it but if your refering to AN line and fittings to the picture. That is hardware store dish washer line, And if the return is the same than thats what blew the seals. One of my friends did the same thing when he built a turbo kit for his ford ranger. Thats why there is such a size difference between feed and return. oil has to go some were and if you wont let it out of the turbo fast enough its going out your tailpipe.

The guy you bought it from might have sold you a lemon turbo that he beat on and blew the oil seals. But, don't go crazy on what I said. Just get a hold of the buy you bought the b16g from.

Well the kid I bought this from blew his T-25 and slapped the 16g on. About 200 miles later his car walked the crank really bad and put it to the grave. Thats when I bought it from him:cool:. This turbo has no more than 200 miles on it I am sure of that:). The oil return line is way bigger than the supply line also so it cant be the problem. Could it be that its leaking because of the way I have it sitting?? I mean I know its leaking alot of oil but it could of not have been doing that when he drove it look how clean it is. Please help
