I found this in the back of my car while ripping out the interior today. My guess is that's the Lo-Jack thingy.

Where is this located? I have the electrical layout saved on my computer, if it's there I can tell you what it is.

Do you have keyless entry because that is where that control would be located, I got a couple things I'm looking at, but this best I have for the moment.

From what I can gather, one runs to your dome light, another to your battery, and another to your door lock relays, and another to the ECU. That's what my diagram is showing, but I could be wrong, I'm just glancing over it while doing like 5 other things.

The keyless box sits outside the sheetmetal, and nothing from the factory's hung on the frame with a couple of ape-worked zip ties. The keyless has no external antenna. I think your Lojack guess is correct, or something like it, although I'd expect them to have their logo on it someplace.

The whole Lojack setup is a very interesting situation.

Yeah I'd say its some kind of tracking device.

Around Indianapolis here, some places that help those with bad credit place boxes in them and if they miss 2 or more payments, then they disable the car and and then go pick it up.

I traced the wires and one of them leads to some sort of antenna I'm guessing. It's covered with soft foam at the end where the transmitter is. The other section of wires are poorly spliced into the wiring harness that runs to the tailights.

When I used to work at a little shop/buy here pay here lot, when people with bad credit came in I had to install these things they called "GPS" and it was tied into the harness of the car, to the starter and ign and such and when they missed payments the car wouldnt start and they would know where it was, at all times. It also had a little external antennea.. Interesting..
