Well, I went to install my HKS SSQV with recirculation kit and before I started to take everything apart, I checked the fitting from the kit and its a much smaller diameter than the stock hose attached to the original BOV.

Does anyone know the size of the stock hose ID/OD? And then if you have installed these, what type/size of hose did you buy to make a spacer for the recirculation kit?

I am assuming to make a spacer, you just cut a piece of the smaller hose that fits the BOV nozzle and then put the original hose over it and tighten (just making sure)

Thanks for all the help!

One and one half inch or so. Is the HKS near the same place as the stock BOV?

1 1/2" is the ID for the stock hose?

The HKS going to replace the stock 2g BOV and is basically in the same spot. The problem is the nozzle is about 1" and I can't clamp it down enough with the worm clamp.

I'm just looking for what to do with the diameter difference and how to make the transition.

Like you said get a spacer for it. Just get a cheap hunk of radiator hose that fits inside of the stock recirculation tube yet fits snuggly over the HKS recirculation fitting. What I did was put a little JB weld around the outside of the cheap-o spacer and inside of the stock recirculation tube and stuck it in there...

You don't recall the radiator hose size you bought or was it just take the nozzle and see what fits it. I'll try to get some JB Weld too. I assume just clamp it down with the stock worm clamp after that.

Alrighty, OD is just shy of 1 1/2" and the ID is just under 1".

Since photobucket is being retarded and not letting me resize my pictures here are the links (let me know if you can't see them):

Unreal, thank you so much!
I measured the HKS Recirc nozzle which indeed is an inch diameter, so I'm guessing this is spot on if it worked for you. I'll hit the auto parts store tomorrow morning with a tape measure! LOL

Any other installation tips would be appreciated (other than the obvious one I read on here tons... take OFF the cover when installing the C Ring ;) )

I just went to my local hardware/automotive store & picked up some clear hose that has a 1" ID. Probably had around 3/16" wall thickness, just cut a small length the size of the SSQV recirculate fitting & clamped the stock return overtop, works perfect.

Yes, that is what I was referring to. In mine, it was black...

If you don't mind me asking, how do you install the little filter? I don't see it in the instructions they sent. It would seem to me that you would cut the vacuum hose, but do you clamp both ends too? All they sent were two little zip ties which I assume are for that but unsure if this is the best way.

UPDATE-

Cannot get the stinkin C Clamp on with my Craftsman Snap Pliers! Any suggestions?

Well, the lightbulb went on this morning and I tried using the snap ring pliers with straight fittings instead of the 90* ones and well, after a few tries, it went on. I used some of the RTV around the coupler, not a ton but covered it with my finger swabbing it.

The recirculation valve in a stock setup does not work well with the stock recirculation tube, so I made one of my own that hopefully will hold. I'm actually more worried about the 4mm tube holding as the clamp didn't really want to clamp that well.

I'll post pics hopefully today.
