Ok so this summer I will be dropping in a fully built 6 bolt and as of right now we do not have a dyno but this spring a new shop in town said that they might be getting one but just in case he doesn't I want to know what the best it can with out the dyno.....also I will be running dsmlink with 1000cc injectors as for other things I don't know what I'll get as for I'm still making a list

theres so many things that come into affect here. its gonna be kinda hard to just give you a number. i would look at similar builds and see what they are getting but take into consideration what kind of tuning, dyno, type of fuel they used before setting a number in your mind

and yea its possible to run 11s without a dyno tune. but unless you really know wut to look for on a/f ratio and certain pids on a logger i would suggest takin it to someone that does.

"I NEED NOS"

$0.02, you will not find an accurate # unless you dyno tune (and even those can vary from one dyno to the next). And yes you can get 11's on a street tune, some have done better times. You honestly have to know what you are doing and how to be safe...

With Dsmlink you can get a very good tune on the street. You can tue it to where you won't need to change anything on the dyno. My one friend with a built motor and a gt3082r running 33 psi tuned his on car the street when I let him use my Dsmlink and he ran a 10.96@128. He could have gone faster if he didn't spin so much or if the clutch didn't start slipping. He had a boost leak at the throttle body also. Another guy I know tuned his on the street with Dsmlink. He has a built motor and a t67. If he got a better trans and some tires he should be able to run high 9's based on the mph he was running. And based on the cars I pull on I should be in the 11.7-11.8 range with my car. That is with me tuning on the street with dsmlink and pump gas. Both my friends were on race gas obviuosly. With me on race gas I should be able to run around a 11.4 or so.

Here is a video of the 10.96 run. http://www.overboostn.com/videos/TENS.wmv

Best thing about using a dyno is no tracion problems, no cop issues, and the ability to tune without driving.
At the place I work we've got a 4pod dynapack and thats the best thing to use IMO.
As for the difference in numbers from dyno to dyno is all BS, you really care about 30hp theoretical difference?(other than bragging rights?)

Exactly. It really doesn't matter anyway, what matters is that it gets tuned correctly. If you want to know how much power it makes go to the track.

A dyno helps, but it is not required. There are many fast dsm's that aren't tuned on dyno's. Invest in a wideband and a good logger. Start researching everything you can about tuning.

No when I get the everything I want ill have something bigger mayber the FP red or something I dont know what exact turbo I'll be running at the time

Sorry, but the thread wasn't very specific.. The definition of "Street Tuned" may also differ from person to person. Are you just referring to a tune without dyno?
Are you just meaning what's the fastest 1g still DDing or just driving on the streets/ street legal?

Just let us know your goals/ what you have or what you're looking at getting.

Around here, there's no dyno nearby to tune with. Still there's some fast AWD's at the track running 11's +
