Hey guys, great forum you have here, I just have a question for some of you. I currently own a 98 contour svt, but have always loved dsm. I use to have a mustang gt, i know, it was before I got into tuning, and did quite a bit of drifting, and would like to get back into it. However, I hate drifting w/ a alldrive car, i've tried a bit w/ my brother's evo and just can't get use to the feel of it. Anyways, I was wondering how I should go about doing a rear drive only 91 tsi. I haven't purchased the car yet and won't be for about 3-4 months, but I'm doing my homework right now. I already have most of the mods purchased (turbo, intercooler, cams, suspension, full exhaust) so I know i'll be running enough hp to drift. Really all I need now is a list of what i'll need to do the swap. Thanks for any replies!

I'm interested in this as well, a buddy told me there was a kit out there for the awd to rwd conversion, but after searching i couldn't find anything. I know everything i saw involved chevy/ford rears, turning the motor 90*, and extensive modifications. I would love to get my hands on a slightly less painful way of going RWD myself, because RWDDSM would make a bad ass license plate ROFL
