ive been looking around on the site, i found some stuff but im so confused. i have a walbro 255 780cc injectors a.f.p.r at idie it reads 45psi with the vacume hose connected so is that to high it should be at 45psi with it disconnected? well the problem im having, is if my car dosnt start the first time it wont start unless i pop start it or let it sit for awhile i think f.p is to high and floods the spark that why it wont start?

im confused i was told by joe at slow boy racing with my universal ebay fuel pressure regulator i set with the vaccum line off my pressure at 45psi? now you guys are say 43.5psi?

43.5 is base pressure for a 2g, that's what you'll be wanting. 1.5 psi won't really make that much of a difference, so go ahead and put it at 45 if you want to.

Do you have any way of controlling these larger injectors like a MAF, SAFC, DSMlink, etc. etc.? If not, you'll never get them to run, no matter what fuel pressure you use.

Update your mod list so we can help you better please.

I'll be nice and just say that you received bad advice by the vendor.

They should have explained what the factory spec was and what you would need to do if you decided to run a higher base pressure.

The thread linked by turbosax2 attempts to explain some of the base concepts. Searching will net you more information on how the fuel injection system works and why the base pressure is important.
