Well. MY Turbo on my GST dying is currently failing. I wanna get another turbo. Some one is willing to trade me a T-28 turbo for some stage 2 HKS cams, some one wanna sell me a 18g for 1000.00. I have another stock turbo but im lookin to get a lil more power outta my gst LOL. Can anyone swing me some advice? Thanks.

It all really depends.. what are your goals (x-amount of whp, run 12's, etc.)? And what are your current supporting mods (fuel system, EMS, etc.)?

I'm currently running an FP Big-28 (basically a T-28) and I flat out love it. Not the biggest turbo, but spool-up is instant and its great for a daily driver. Maybe you want something bigger though. An 18g would definitely pull harder up top but you need more supporting mods to run it safely. Its all really what you're looking to get out of your car and what you'd be happy with.

The t-28 would be a nice upgrade. Dont pay 1k for an 18g. Most people that want to upgrade go with a 16g turbo. You can probably find a decent one at a decent price on the classifieds. It basically bolts on but youll need a 2g install kit. Once you do that youll need to be upgrading the fuel system if you want to run some higher boost with it.

I think you would love a 50 trim...i currently have a PTE 50 trim with swain tech coated exhaust housing and polished ompressor housing along with a stage 3 turbine wheel im selling for $750 shipped, or if you have a 2g i will sell the turbo and a custom HKS FMIC kit for $1050 shipped

I think you would love a 20g or a 50 trim...

huh... probably not. Go with a T28, the install over a tdo5 (18g) will be SOOO much easier, and unless you're going to up grade your fuel system you will probably have a faster car with a T28 because of the quicker spool.

I just put in a small 16g ~2000 miles ago (which flows about the same as a t28) and there is a lot more power up top at 13psi on the 16g compared to 15psi on the t25.

Decide how far you want to go with the car--if you see yourself doing the fuel system and investing in engine management, then go for a bigger turbo.

If you're probably going to stick to stock fuel and don't want to spend a lot of money, why not get a 14b or find a cheap T28? You can run both of those pretty happily on the street without too many other upgrades, unlike a 50 trim.
