i am about to start my new project. A S10 with a 6bolt in it.. I was wondering if anyone knew were i could find some pictures of a s10 with a 4g63.. please help. :thumb:

eveyone that i have talked to on the s10 forums say there is a s10 with a 4g63 but no one can prove it :(

Just fab up some mounts and post up a build thread

If it were only that easy. I have always been told that if you have to ask for help on a project like that, your in over head from the beginning. It sounds fun though.

I know theres more to it then just fabbing some stuff up...It could turn out to be a real headache. Maybe I should put my old 6bolt in my blazer..LOL

i`m not asking for help. i know what i need to do. i just am a little worried about were the trannsmision will end up at. I was hoping not to far forward.. I am starting in less than a month. I am still getting stuff ready. I hope to finish before the end on next year. so a year of work should give me PLENTY PLENTY of time

Make sure you make that build thread... It may inspire me to use my dd as a project one day. Good luck on the build.

Chris

please help.

i`m not asking for help

Seems like a contradiction to me. LOL. I am just joking man, but I wanted to make sure you knew what you were in for. My friend put a 355 in his S10 and won't ever to a swap again because it's such a pain. A 4g63 is going to be some work.

Please do make a build thread. I wish you all the luck in the world, 4g63 power ftw.

first of all that sounds like an awesome idea... but if u r worried about where the tranny will end up... u r just more than likely going to have to move the motor back closer to the firewall... shouldnt be that bad since u r making your own motor mounts anyways... i dont no the extent of your fabrication skills but you might be able to bolt it up to a th350 transmission or a gm 6-speed out of a camaro or something like that because if you use the factory transmission out of a dsm i dont no how u r going to be able to get a driveshaft hooked to that?? but i do wish u the best of luck and not to rain on your parade but i would think a year is way to short of a period of time for a project like that but once again i do wish u luck!!:D
