I have a thin wire wire that is basically sitting on top of my transmission and goes towards the firewall.. I cant see where it leads to so i am trying to see if anyone on here knows. ANy idea's?

Is there 1 wire or two, because there is a plug that connects to the reverse switch light on the
transmission. On my car they go toward the firewall. Do you have a pic

I am going out on a limb and thinking it is/was for aftermarket deck or gauges ect. Nothing there on mine.

Possible... i am going to pull outthe battery tomorrow and look down there to see where it leads too

It doesn't look like a factory wire because it's not in the harness. Follow it and find the other end of the wire.
