Just bought a 95 eclipes

hey everyone i just bought a 95 eclipes and well ive had hndas all my life so this is something new for me.....i just got it yesterday for 500 bucks.. cheap as hell right, well heres what i got questions on if anyone could help....First my tach doesnt work but everything else does....now the guy that had it before me isnt all that car friendly, but said it worked when he bought it...next the car doesnt overheat but the temp still goes up....after looking at it somethings up with the fan....just doesnt work. so as far as that goes i looked under the hood and found one of the relays is gone but does me no good ### the spot to put the relay in is messed up.....and last im sure if its as easy as a honda but the suspension and the wheel hubs which i got with the car have to be put on...is that difficult or is there just somethings i need to look for. appreciate the help

Plus i forgot one last thing......my SRS light is on....i think the car was wrecked but i dunno how to reset the airbags if you can at least

or you may not even have a airbag found that out when i bought my current car.

no i made sure to check that......i had to put the cover on the passenger side...the driver side feels like it has one..

If you had to put an airbag cover on, it's been wrecked. Still not a bad deal, but sorting out problems on cars like that "builders" as we call em, can be a beeyotch

Is the spot for the relay melted or what? Also have you checked all the other fuses and there should be an airbag module under teh center armrest/console (pull the ashtray/cupholder and look back there, you should see it) The cuphodler and console just pull out BTW

As for your tach and water temp gauge... I"m going out on a limb here, but does your car have those white face EL glow gauges installed? If so... whoever did the install could've botched it.

Holy crap.... yeah dude it does have the white face guages......but the guy that had it before said that it was working not that long ago...

Regardless of what you were told, that's the first place that I'd check. It may be that the instrument cluster isn't fully snapped into the connectors in the back of the panel. You may find out once you take it out that the back panel is fried. It could be a host of things at this point, but if expieriance has taught me anything, it's that if it's been messed with or altered, it's usually the source of the problem.

well i went and pulled the dash apart and the tach is ####ed up i guess i got to get another one.......next though i noticed the cooling fan isnt coming on as the car is getting hotter, so i went to just run the hot and ground wire so that it would run either constantly or i can run it to a switch and turn it on or off when i want....only problem is that i dont see a hot wire...theres 3 ground wires and 2 white wires...ive tryed all of them and still not luck, anyone got any ideas
