Heres my problem, i overfilled my car with oil a few days ago and now its to the normal level and i kept spraying oil everywhere from the oil cap as far as i could see, drained some out and thought it would stop but it has not i just took it on the highway and it sprays so much oil its leaking down to the exhaust, do i have a leak somewhere else behind the motor?? My valve cover is not leaking from the back and i bought a new oil cap two days ago and changed out my pcv valve a few months ago.. IF someone could help me out, maybe something i missed...?:talon:

Clean the motor and run it just long enough for it to start leaking and find ALL teh leaks. Over filling the motor can cause way too much ressure in teh case and startblowing seals and gaskets quick. It would have been best to drain it when you realized it was over filled. Hopefully you didn't blow a gasket that's hard to change

Have you checked your valve cover for cracks? They are usually easiest to spot with it off looking at the bottom of it. I had something like this happen to me.It was cracked rite where the filler neck meets the flat part of the valve cover.I could not figure out where all the oil was coming from.
Sure enoug it was crack, replaced the valve cover and no more oil.

if you say the oil is leaking from the cap. Check the cap again. next check around the vavle cover where the valve cover gasket lies. pay close attention to the timing belt side because thats where oil leaked on mines. i just replaced the valve cover gasket. but from the looks of it, you repatedly said it cae from the cap. im assuming the cap might be defective still.

also, check the oil drain plugg. then check the oil return line gasket. as your trying to figure out where the leak is, keep a close eye on the oil level.
