Im trying to get my newly re-built engine to start, but no luck. When i first start to crank it, it will pop or cough once, but never come close to start, then just crank and crank. I check the injectors, they were spraying. checked the plugs, they were sparking. No check engine lights.

Now sometimes when i crank it i got a very weird burst of white smoke, im assuming fuel, from where the #1 injector goes into the head. I pulled the plugs and cranked to clear out the cylenders, still didn't start.

Thanks and please help!

Make sure you got the plug wires run to the correct cylinders.
Make sure you have the correct plugs.
Make sure the plugs are gapped correctly. If the gap is too large, the plugs won't spark under compression. Compressed air is harder to jump a spark across than uncompressed air, so it may spark fine outside of the head, but not when it's in the head.

Plug wires are going to the right cylenders, Gapped to .035, NGK V-power BKR6E-11 brand new plugs. Sound right?

and thanks for the reply

Just humor me and swap the wires to the opposite plugs.(put wires 1 and 4 on the coil for 2 & 3, and vise versa) SOunds really familiar to me. Mitsu changed which wire outputs go to the ignitor in one year and when putting in stand alones i often have to change the plug wires or swap wires at the ignitor because of that exact problem.
