I am doing the college = poor man = slow build up upgrade path. I want to go ahead and pick up my long-term turbo and build my setup around it. I am wanting the PTE 50 trim. I realize that I will not push the turbo above 12 or so psi until I have everything setup... Anyway, my question is this... Before I get my FMIC, I want to just pipe the turbo to the SMIC. I don't really want to weld on the 90* elbow if I am only going to be putting on 100 miles on this car in the next 6 months before I have time and funds to run the new piping for the FMIC. Does anyone know of a cheap, basic way to get the bend needed to pipe back to the stock SMIC?

2'' at the outlet. 3'' at the inlet.. and either way running a turbo that big will need a 90* on it to clear fans, lower cross member etc.. I use a silicone 90 in case i want to change turbos or switch things up, so i'm not stuck with a "one angled" turbo outlet. I got a 2 - 2 1/2 adapter in 90* bend and it works great.

YOu can see pics of it in the following link, the post is showing how i kept stock fans with a big turbo so that i could run A/C

Scroll about 1/2 way down and you'll see my pics, the first one shows teh 90 i used.

Wow, alright, so your turbo is sending the air towards the hood instead of downward... I've never seen a setup like that before... Do you have a link or the name of a place that has that adapter?

Unfotunately i don't have the name of the place. I got this one from some ghetto turbo kit that was for a honda that was blown up and sitting in the back of the shop. I don't even know the name of the brand. But, tubronetics sells nitrile and silicon elbows and probably have the 90* reducer elbow like i'm using.

Or, you could always go with 2'' from the 90 and then adapt up to your IC pipe size with another silicon fitting if you can't find one like i have. Just make sure to use T-bolt clamps!
