I have a '99 GS-T with a 6 bolt. This must have had something to do with the original motor. As you can see it is cylindrical with a hollow center and has a 2 pin connector. The wiring leads to the same bundle/loom that feeds power to the fuel injectors. I am not worried about it since my car runs fine, I'm just curious. I'm thinking maybe something to do with diagnostics or maybe the tach.

Where was it at?

It was tucked away back near my brake fluid reservoir. The wiring that goes to it exits the electrical bundle running above the fuel rail that provides power to the injectors. The wires to this exit that bundle towards the driver's side just past the injector for cylinder #1.
