Hey guys i`ve recently ordered a 3inch cat-back exhaust for my 2g eclipse but they sent me a 3inch exhaust for a non turbo eclipse. Will this still fit? I`m still waiting on my downpipe to come in which should be tomorrow. Now i`ve searched for this but i only came up with info on the 1gs, so i`m guessing its the same for the 2gs also? Im going to measure it up also to make sure its def. a 3inch system....not too sure about all this still LOL Thanx guys! :thumb:

Did you buy the Downpipe from a different company? Maybe you'll get the right one..

If it's a 3in downpipe for a turbo car then it should fit onto the rest of the exhaust. If it's an N/T downpipe it wouldn't work since the Downpipe you need connects to the O2 housing.

As long as you got the right downpipe, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Might need a spot weld on the DP going to the rest of the exhaust but that's not a huge deal.

No no no LOL You guys are not getting what i`m saying here LOL Ok i ordered a catback for my turbo 2g and they sent me a non turbo catback and i have a downpipe for my turbo 2g coming in on Saturday (which is today) and i was wondering if the catback on the non turbo and turbos are the same for the 2gs i know now that they are the same for 1gs. but i just want to make sure first. And like i said before i`m going to double check the size of the pipping again just in case ### im not to sure about all this...want to make sure before i do send it back (if i need to) :thumb:

Lol, ok. The piping for the non-turbo cat-back is going to be smaller, but will bolt on (if they're both FWD). The non-turbo cat-back should be around 2.5" where as most turbo (FWD) cat-backs are around 3".

I bought the dp for a GS-T and tried to make it work with my RS (420A-turbo). It does not clear the cross member.

My understanding is that their the same pipe from the car back. The only difference is how they bolt to the cat, nt uses 2 bolts, turbo uses three. Oem catback for a nt is 2.25, turbo is 2.5 fwd. Fwd 2g exhaust will not fit on a awd dsm.

If you bought a 3" catback, regardless of turbo or nt it is still 3 inch.

Well i know that an AWD and FWD exhaust are different...and actually i went ahead and kept the catback (since i had it anyways) and i did put it on last night and it was a tight fit and now its actually like wedged against the spare tire well so the muffler tip is all #### eyed a little bit.....so i`m going to see if i can take it to an exhaust shop and see if they can fix it for me....to me i think the S-bend that goes around the spare tire well is a little off and its throwing everything off...so i guess im stuck with this stupid thing i guess. :|
