winnipeg,
I'm changing out my OEM manifold for a second gen unit and I need to get the proper gaskets. Mitsu has three #'s listed for the manifold gasket. I need to confirm the right part #'s so I don't waist my money on the wrong ones. If anyone who has done this, could you please let me know, I'm buying new mani gasket and the gasket to the turbo. Is there anything I'm missing? I'll be searching the classified for a mani if not the dealer has one for $300.

Ok that didn't work. Here's a better question. What should I buy to do a 2g eghaust manifold swap? What year of manifold gasket should I buy? Is there anything I need to do to modify the manifold or turbo to make it fit on a 1g with a 14b? I was going to buy a 2g manifold from the dealer with a gasket for a 95 7 bolt 4g63. I would apreciat any input my other manifold is badly cracked and unusable.

I would suggest buying an Evo III manifold or an 2g manifold off of ebay or here in the classifieds.

I picked up my Evo III manifold for around $100 and it was already ported.

The manifold gasket I would highley recommend will be the 4 layer oem gasket. Part number is MR323654. You can find it for around $20.00 and it will be well worth the money. It will work fine with your manifold swap as well. Good luck.

Ok man here's some numbers for you.

Manifold Gaskets
Stock- MD181032
Evo III- MR323654 Get this one its a 4 layer and it's not real expensive.

Manifold to Turbo
MD128901

Thanks for the #'s. The dealer didn't want to order the gaskets just in case they didn't work. She wanted me to find someone who had acualy done the swap to confirm what they used. I was going to check the forum classified section for a manifold. I'm doing this on a VERY strict budget so buying the wrong parts would not go over well with the wife.

For the manifold gasket the part number I gave you will indeed work...trust me. I've had them on my 3 DSM's and have put them on alot of other peoples DSM's in the past.
