how was the in and out movement. as side to side movement is alittle more tolerable than in and out. is there is a significant amount of in and out movent then its def shot. how did the houseing look did it look like it was all scared up.

Something was stuck in there. See how the props have scoreing on them? Was the play bad enough to where it was rubbing on your compressor housing?

as you can see the one blade is missing a piece from it. there is no in N out movement. Both the compressor housing and the turbine housing have zero scuff marks. each blade is irregular as a piece of metal would be from being bent back and forth with pliers.

Personally, I wouldn't use that thing again. The turbine wheel has some decent damage, and must have caught some debris or the turbine wheel hit the turbine housing.

Replace the turbo.

New wheel and complete rebuild as the compressor wheel and housing are probly shot exhaust side may be on the way out but its no good time for rebuild.

The irregularity in the blades would throw off the balance in the turbo, and it would shake itself apart within 3000 miles, if it hasnt started to already. You're going to need to completely rebuild it or replace it.

I guess it is time to go with a new "fun" turbo. May I suggest a GT4088R for street use, or a GT4094R for track use???

I love my 4088R and it should get me into the 9's, but I have been contemplating the 4094R to get over 800whp and hit mid 9's. Oh well...not even close yet -- 10.4's so far only.

Is there any shaft play?

Not to over extend this thread, but I believe your turbo is shot. As was said before it would just end up killing itself off even if it did work for awhile due to the irregular blades being all off balance now.

The shaft was over cooked. Everything else looks to be in very good shape. Now i need to find a replacement shaft.
