ok i have a 1995 eagle talon front wheel drive turbo.

im going to throw a 6 bolt motor in it out of a 91 GST

im also going to be doing a 5 speed swap at the same time, considering my car was an automatic.

Now do i use a 2g fwd turbo transmission or a 1g fwd turbo tranny?

And will the mounts for the transmission in the 2nd gen shell line up with the mounts for the 1st gen tranny if i have to use it?

Also what shifter cables to use? First gen or 2nd gen?

Anything else i need to preform the entire 6 bolt engine / tranny swap?

You're going to need to use the 2G FWD Manual transmission. On a 1g 3 mounts are on the engine, on a 2G 3 mounts are on the transmission.

The 2g trans will bolt up to the 1g block.

Use the 2g shifters, for the 2g trans.

Anything else? A bunch of stuff.. Found here:

You use everything from your 2g...The only new things will be the engine assembled and some minor 1g things like timing belt, timing belt cover water pump etc... (pretty much everything essential to the engine)

This will help guide you some: http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf

That's funny, beat me to the post. :)

I was under the impression the 2g trans needed a Kiggly kit to bolt up to the 1g block?

I'd prefer to use a 1g block & 1g tranny if possible, if not i will go the 2g tranny route I guess.
