Some first startup questions. (9:1, act clutch, big kaboom?)

I have been searching this forum, and galant vr-4, but havent really had all of my questions answered, and I know these have to be fairly frequent questions.

First and foremost, I just rebuilt my GVR-4's motor with .40 over 9.0:1 wiseco pistons on eagle rods. Mitsu bearings, BSE kit, ACT 2600, and well, basically everything new besides the crank. I tried to do it all right the first time through.
I'v also got a front mount on the way.

1. On the initial startup, I WILL NOT have a fuel computer because..well, im just flat out broke. Once I actually popped the pistons in, i really started regretting upping the compression ratio. Will I be safe to run the vehicle like this for a little while? I have a evo III 16g, but im probably going to put the stock waste gate actuator on it to keep the boost down a bit. Im not looking for the utmost potential out of this motor right away, yes i want it to be quick, but til i have another ~$2500 (front mount, BOV, dsmlink and components, lalala) Im more worried about wrecking the motor.

2. Another thing, I have an ACT 2600, and with a recomended "hard engine break in" how do i break the clutch in at the same time?

3. Any other general break in tips would be highly appreciated.

I cant wait to get this car out on the road, but Im a bit nervous!

ITS POSSIBLE for me to get a dsmlink and some ~660's if i can get rid of this old car I have in the paper, or maybe a set of mille miglias I have laying around..but its doubtful.

Thanks to ANYONE who can help, or point me in the direction of some threads i missed.

Well, with the high CR you could just turn the boost down a bit and make sure you watch your knock. Any specific reason you went .04 over?

I plan on putting my stock 14b wastegate actuator on the 16g so boost will be even lower. I DO NOT plan on making good power, or pounding on the car til i know it wont knock the junk out of itself.

well, to make a long story short, I had bent valves when i bought the galant, so i picked up a "perfect" long block..hood had come up, then he sold off the injectors..water in the cylinders..
I went that far over because the car had some rust pitting, when i had my machinest take a look at it he said 20 may get them, but he wasnt certain, so he just said to be safe go .04

When I got the "longblock" i was told it had been ran recently, and ran perfect..so i got rid of my stock bottom end. ...when i was taking the head off the motor the timing belt basically fell apart in my hands.

:dsm: :dsm: :dsm:

Bump.

My engine is either going to be buttoned up next week(ish), or be put on the back burner AGAIN...

Someone PLEASE finish this motor for me
