Original problem was my transmission went bad its a F4A22-1 (auto) I know we all hate aotos but currently I have to drive 1 (medical) I bought a 91 laser with intent to swap the tranny to mine. The laser is a turbo car with a F4A33-1. So I just figured what the hell and swapped the engine. For those of you considering it’s not bad at all.
NOW the problem is the tranny:

Is there any way to put the F4A33-1 into the car? The connectors are all different; can I change the connectors and splice the lines?
Can I use the old tcu?
or is it possible to take the tcu and wiring from it and put that in the eclipse?

Sorry forgot this part:
My car 94 eclipse gs 4g63nt F4a22-1
Donor 91 laser rs 4g63 turbo F4A33-1

I have researched this on every dsm site I can find and no good info
I CANNOT swap to a manual (kinda hard to clutch with 1 good leg)

Now I done just the swap you did. You have to use the tcu from the donor car. The easiest way would be to swap out the whole wiring harness. The other method is to splice the connectors onto the trans end of the harness the the tcu end which is a pita if you don't have a good wiring diagram to follow. Now if you can find a late 92 to 94 trans then the wiring harness connectors will match right up. Now I did put the connectors on the tranny side and ran it like that which the n/t trans tcu for a few months until I found a tcu that would run the turbo trans. You will have all gears for the first few mins of driving then it will drop into a sorta limp mode which means you will lose first and fourth. Another route you can take is to get the shift box from IPT which will replace the tcu all together.

Awsome as I said I have the doner car so I can pull its tcu and use that. Do you have the wiring diagrams u used to swap the connectors? That would help me alot doing the swap. I would rather change the connectors then the harness. The old car had the big abs box under the hood and I dont want all those wires hanging in my bay. And I appreciate it I was originally told the swap wasnt possible and I knew that was BS.
