instead of guessing at the store, ask the person whom sold it to you if they know what size the belt is. Otherwise if you know the size of the original pulley, the size of the new pulley and the size of the old belt, you can do some math and figure it out.

When I had an Unorthodox underdrive pulley on my old car I went to Advance. I told the guy behind the counter that I was putting on an underdrive pulley and he brought out a few belts. He told me how to read the numbers on the belt. It was pretty basic, something about the last two numbers being the length of the belt in mm (I think...). Anyway, he gave me a few to try out, and they fit perfectly.
