i found my oil leak :thumb: but i dont know if its fixable, i cleaned off all the leaky oil, then started it up, but its leaking from the whole assembley that the filter is attached to, like behind the filer but not around the filter , so i dont know if its a gasket or i have to buy the whole assembly that the filter and lines attach to .... help

I would try ordering the gasket. Diamondstarmotorsports.com has them for like 5 bucks. Order one and replace it. Worth a shot.

no offense to the above poster, but just go to mitsu and get it. shipping wait is a long wait when you're wanting to isolate the problem now. so what's a few more bucks?

Because do you honestly think they will have a supply of Oil filter housing gaskets for an 11 year old car at a damn dealership? No, everything from dealerships has to be ordered also.

that really wasn't meant to make you upset. not my intention at all. it's just that normally everytime mitsu has had to order a part for me, it's been there within two days. still better than most shipping. i wasn't trying to pick a fight, just telling him what i'd do.

Didnt get me upset I was just saying that they dont keep stuff for our cars on hand, and a lot of it has to be special ordered. Best bet is to go onto PartsAmerica.com and find it on there, I got a crank seal that I couldnt get ANYWHERE else because of backorders and such, within 2 days.
