Amount of tranny fluid(fwd)

I searched and just came up with what brand to use, and vfaq is for awd, and i looked in my manual and i cant tell if the fwd to is suppose to be next to non turbo or awd, so its either 2.1 or 2.4, i am asking, casue if it is 2.1, so I dont have t buy three for no reason.

States right in it 2.4.

For you FWD guys, only the transaxle procedure is required.

Capacities
Transaxle: 2.4 qrts
Transfer Case: 0.5 qrts
Differential: 0.9 qrts

I guess i will just buy 3 and fill it til it pours out.

Newb question but I searched and all I could come up with is for 2g's, vfaq was the same. So my question remains, how much tranny fluid should I use in a 1g fwd? Thanks

I pump it in till it drips out the fill hole. The owners manual has it too. Off hand I think it calls for 2.3 qtrs.

2.4 quarts. Don't forget to use a gl 4 fluid!

Fwd tranny for drain and refill would be 2.1-2.3 quarts but if the case got completly empty it would take around 5.0 quarts

Then why does the manual state that its fluid capacity is 2+ quarts?
